From Silos to Synergy: Cygnet Healthcare’s Team Story
When Cygnet Healthcare noticed teams feeling a bit disconnected and meetings starting to drain energy, they decided to try something different. Together, we created simple, focused workshops using our 4C framework—Clarity, Connection, Collaboration, Commitment—with each step designed to support CQC goals and better patient care.
We started with a workshop for the leadership team, helping them agree on priorities and set the tone. After that, we ran separate, one-day workshops for each ward—giving everyone, from nurses to porters, a space to talk openly about what was working, what was tricky, and what they wanted to change.
Mapping patient journeys and having honest conversations between departments made it easier to spot issues and come up with practical ideas that people felt good about. Small changes like clearer handover routines and more collaborative problem-solving followed quickly.
Staff said they felt listened to and more connected—not just with their own team, but across the hospital. The approach wasn’t dramatic or top–down; it simply made it easier for everyone to do their best work together, while staying focused on what really matters to CQC and to patients.
